The Real McCoy


1. Describe the picture.
2. Where do you think this is?  Why?
3. Watch the video ab out this country.  Write down some of the things you see.  


Have you ever visited a castle?  What was it like?
If you haven't visited a castle, what do you think a castle is like?
Write down your ideas.

Watch the video about a castle in Scotland. Is it the same or different to your castle?


Do you believe in ghosts?
Have you heard of places that are haunted?
Can you think of a ghost story to tell you classmates?

We are going to read a story entitled, "The Real McCoy".  What do you think this expression means?

the original or true person or thing, and not a copy; authentic:

We’ve seen so many reproductions of the Mona Lisa, but when we were in Paris we saw the real McCoy.
